Manpower are currently recruiting for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their Client - an on-site delivery specialist for multi-vendor products and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site desktop support for technical infrastructure for end users; advising and assisting users in solving problems related to software, hardware, networks and peripherals using available technology.

The engineer will be required on site weekdays from 0900 - 1700.

Responsibilities will also include analyse system needs, troubleshoot problems. Provide user support, new hire system set ups and desktop/laptop software evaluations. Deploy updates/roll-outs and provide 80% software support with some knowledge of desktop hardware, OS, servers, and data bases. Provide quick response and maximum uptime of users. Develops project installation and escalation plans. Train users according to technical, release and security standards.
Resultantly we are looking for the candidate to own good communication skills and will be able to articulate technical solutions using basic explanations.
Skills Levels / Requirements for role:-
Senior 2nd Line Support.
In-depth knowledge of standard SW issues.
Two skill sets, e.g. PCs, laptops, workstation, printers, clock, terminals, handhelds.
May refer to specialists for guidance on technical issues.

Technical responsibilities:-
Perform multisite customer specific product upgrades and roll-outs.
Install MV EUW assets, deployment/perform upgrades and roll-outs.
Image creation and manage workspace assets.
Provide basic firmware updates and software patching.

System Support:-
Password resets, troubleshooting setups, mobile devices
