Our well established client who is based in Tonbridge is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team.

You will report to the Finance Director and be responsible for delivering accurate and timely monthly management accounts and forecast and Annual Statutory accounts for the Group and all associated Companies.

*Delivery of monthly management accounts and forecasts within challenging timeframes.
*Preparation of the annual budgets.
*Preparation of the year end Statutory Financial Statements and group reporting packs.
*Manage the purchase ledger and credit control functions ensuring issues are reported to the FD in a timely manner. Overseeing the debtor management process to ensure that debts are recovered on time, and to minimise bad debt.
*Manage the Accounts Assistant ensuring their duties are carried out and ensuring work development.
*Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts for the Group and associated companies.
*Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and annual R&D claims.
*Proactively monitor and review controls for breaches and effectiveness. Investigate and propose solutions to possible areas of risk.
*Production of monthly accounts packs for Group and Associated companies.
*Build excellent working relationships with operational staff to ensure finance issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
*When required attend the monthly Board meeting.
*Processing bank payments.
*Complete and return the National Statistics forms.

Qualifications and/or Experience Required:
*CIMA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
*Experience managing a small team
*Ability to manage and prioritise work and meet deadlines
*Good communications skills - both verbal and written
*Proactive, motivated and passionate about delivering quality work
*Competent in the use of computers, specifically Microsoft Excel and Access Dimensions packages
*Full driving licence is required as travel to other Group locations may be required

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am-5pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
