Job Title: Business Development Manager

Reporting to: Head of Commissioning

Location: Home based with regular travel around geographical territory and to Head Office

Job Purpose:

The overall aim of the role is to work closely with the Head of Commissioning and Senior Management to assist in the development of the Company's corporate business strategy. The post holder will also seek opportunities to develop established and new commissioning relationships, grow our business, expand services beyond current client groups, innovate, extend and enhance how we deliver care and support.


Main Responsibilities:


*Work independently and in conjunction with the Head of Commissioning to develop new business opportunities.
*Develop Key Relationships with CCG/Trusts/NHS to raise brand awareness of our client a specialist Healthcare provider.
*Able to build, establish and maintain excellent working relationships with Social Workers, Consultants, Commissioning Managers, Ward Managers and Out of Area Placement Managers.
*Market Development in own geographical territory.
*Represent our client a specialist Healthcare provider in all professional forums as required
*Understand your geographical area and be aware and monitor competitor activity.
*Responsible for own diary management, generating meetings through phone calls and marketing campaigns.
*Conversant with all aspects of our client a specialist Healthcare provider and be able to confidently present to individual and groups as required.
Excellent diary/time management skills.
*Able to update the relevant NHS staff on patient progress.
*Attendance at various meetings related to patients in our care.
*To effectively work alongside internal and external stakeholders.
*To communicate within the wider GHC team ensuring best level of care for the SU and support for the staff.
*Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks.
*Tenacious personality, used to working in targeted focused environment, able to maintain focus.
*Strong Customer Focus.
