An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Global Assistant Brand Development Manager (Laundry Water Innovation) based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Blackfriars. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 12months, working a 36.25 hour week. This role is paying up to £36, 000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience

Water is fundamental to doing laundry and to the success of our Laundry business. It is no longer 'just' a USLP commitment but, a transformational business imperative. The Category role for Home Care is Value Creation - top AND bottom line growth. Laundry is c. 70% of Home Care and so its role in delivering this is huge. Within this, the Water team aims to double the size of its contribution, generating a value the size of a Global brand.

Your role as Assistant Brand Manager Global Laundry Water Innovation, will be to expand the reach of innovations we currently have in the programme, as well as to work closely with our R&D colleagues to help support and develop new opportunities to create Value by meeting consumers' needs through the lens of Water. The scope is broad; you will manage as well as assist on projects right from upstream development of insights and technologies through to landing in markets.

This is a high profile team, leading the category thinking on the approach to Water and with direct support from the Home Care Category President. The role offers a high level of responsibility and accountability at a category and even cross category level. Acting now, for the future world of less water, is ensuring our future business.

Key Responsibilities:

The Water Programme is based on consumer needs today and tomorrow: You will be responsible for managing innovation projects under these three Pillars, across multiple homecare brands.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Work on leveraging new ways of working into all innovations / project mixes
* Manage the Water team global budget

Key Relationships / Team
* Senior Global Brand Manager and Director
* Cross-functional project teams across multiple geographies: Supply Chain, R&D etc. Claims, Brands, Comms, Sustainable Business Team

Key Skills/ Experience needed:
* Passion in the area of helping others
* Experience in marketing (2+yrs)
* Strong digital / communication experience
* Good project management experience and working within a cross functional team
* Financial acumen
* Ability to generate and apply new insights from consumer work
* Experience in demonstrating action in the face of uncertainty or 'new to the world' situations
* Driven to keep going and resilient for when things get tough
* D&E knowledge ideal but not essential
* Strong evidence of close partnering with R&D
