*Ensure maintenance program for powders RD&I building is undertaken to agreed schedule making sure QHSE standards are maintained.
*Ensure all equipment within laboratory is calibrated and appropriately maintained to agreed schedule making sure QHSE standards are maintained
*Act as designated purchaser for Laboratory supplies including the use of SRM
*In coordination with departmental managers ensure that housekeeping and working procedures are in line with policy including creating and administering laboratory audit schedule.
*Ensure all external contractors and staff working within laboratory have been issued correct work permits and observe and follow relevant Life Saving rules e.g. working at height, correct PPE
*Arrange for disposal and administration of hazardous/non-hazardous laboratory waste
*Tracking and recording of expenditure in relation to maintenance programme, repairs and purchases.
*Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and standards including; Laboratory QHSE, and housekeeping. Actively participate in initiatives that promote these areas that fall under position responsibilities.
*Ensure compliance with company Code of Conduct, and demonstrate integrity and responsibility in our actions.
*Responsible for ensuring correct use and recording of inventory logs for laboratories.
*In coordination with HSE participate in and support coordination of HSE initiatives (e.g. BBS)
*Represent polymer team at various SHE, Waste & Calibration committees.
*Actively research, network and interact with internal and external organisations gathering information to support projects and develop expertise.
*Provide regular feedback and reports to business on key projects and developments attending meeting as required.
