Manpower are currently recruiting for an experienced Spa Operations Manager for our client based just outside Slough. Do you have experience working in a 4 or 5 star hotel? Do you have minimum of two years Spa experience? Have you also got an NVQ level 3 in Beauty Therapy? If so this could be the perfect opportunity for you!!

Financials will include, achieving treatment & retail budgets, actively grow revenue and profit lines. Drive secondary revenues to match and supplement treatment revenues. Drive maximum room occupancy and therapist utilisation. Drive revenue per hour income & profit and control wage costs.

Other non-financial requirements will include, stock control, guest liaison, brand standard audits, team recruitment, training and management. In addition to this you will be required to look after treatment range and pricing, and retail stock ordering. Maintaining health and safety and hygiene of the building is also crucial.

Organisational skills will include managing the therapy and reception teams along with the treatment range offered by the Spa. Implement and maintain controls and procedures to ensure the highest standards, efficiencies and professional operations are in place within the spa. Maximise opportunity from the spa, delivering quality, driving rate, occupancy and profitability through member spend, hotel guests and corporate group bookings.

You will be targeting all sectors for retail and treatment on spend. In conjunction with the SPC Team, continue to develop the SPC treatment range offered by the spa, ensuring that it is relevant and contemporary to the needs of the client.

Employee Relations, develop excellent working relationships within the department to ensure all staff are trained effectively to meet the required standards inclusive of Stoke Park policies, procedures and regulations. Lead by example, providing a high quality service and aggressive hospitality to all our guests. Work with Sales & Marketing to ensure sales promotion and positioning of the spa and services.

Trade test therapists to ensure the quality and standard of treatments being given.

Admin tasks will general include logging and tracking all customer comments. Conduct weekly Health & Safety Audit, weekly/monthly brand audits. Ensure succession planning is active within the department.

Attend regular Health & Safety Meetings. Prepare reports and provide performance information from Concept. Attend management meetings as required. Record, monitor and track internal cross charging to P&L.

Maintain data integrity of electronic stock control system, point of sale and spa scheduling systems. Comply with all HR policies with regard to recruitment and disciplinary procedures. Ensure that all department equipment is in good working order. Ensure all departmental staff adhere to business standards.

You will also need knowledge of training as you will conduct the induction training for all new starters. Ensure that all training activity is recorded and administered correctly.

Ensure all staff are trained to the required standard. Provide ongoing training for therapists in order to develop the treatment range in conjunction with the SPC training team.

Manage staffing levels robustly, through effective rosters ensuring guest and staff satisfaction.

To maintain and over achieve the department's budget.

Security, ensure that proper key controls are in effect. Ensure that all spa supplies are efficiently requisitioned from storage and that weekly stock takes are taken. Ensure confidentiality of all user log-ins.
