Our client is a global manufacturer delivering nutritional solutions to meet both existing and emerging health needs.
The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance of both production equipment and factory infrastructure, and manages the different facilities on site. The role is also responsible for developing and controlling the yearly budget investment plan of the factory and to execute this plan through the delivery on time/cost/quality of a portfolio of technical projects. You will also lead operationally a team of Facilities, Maintenance, Project, Process and Technicians.
*You will have full responsibility of the engineering department's budget, including effective cost control, authorising purchase requisitions with adherence to company purchasing policies and maintaining appropriate stock levels of the maintenance and engineering stores.
*Build the yearly investment plan for the 5 outlined CAPEX categories
*You will organise and drive internal and external resources
*Drive the factory Maintenance policy in its 3 dimension - Preventive; Curative; Improvement
*Manage the Factory energies
*Select relevant external contractors, ensuring equipment statutory inspections required to comply with relevant legislation
*PPM performance and compliance KPIs around both statutory and non-statutory requirements
*Work to time constraints in order to maximise production line efficiencies
*Coordinate with Finance and suppliers for stock control and related issues
*Develop Functional and Managerial skills of team members and set up their individual development plan
*Share, develop and implement Best practices in collaboration with Engineering Managers network
*Build effective relationships with Central Engineering, R&D, Marketing and Activity Managers
*Manage technical information, specifically ensuring it is well documented and easily accessible
*Complete any reasonable request made by the company to achieve the aims and objectives of the department and the business

Competencies / Requirements
*Time-served and qualified to a minimum of degree level in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with significant experience in a similar planning Maintenance and Engineering Management roles.
*Knowledge and experience of TPM
*Clearly defines problem situations for analysis whilst following through to closure with a flexible and adaptable approach to working, specifically in problem-solving by using technical knowledge and ingenuity to interpret situations and offer solutions.
*Builds and implements action plans to reduce CBU environmental impact as part of the Nature program
*Builds and implements the Engineering Masterplan for the area in term of technologies (including Assets Risk management), people & performances.
*Drives all elements of the Safety program on site
*Leads cross-functional teams and ensures CODE/Proximity management principles
*Manages large cross-functional projects and/or coordinates site projects portfolio
*Champions project management methodologies at the site/CBU/regional level.
*Coaches x-functional teams at Plant level
*Analyses the Plant performance data to develop improvement action plans (Boosters).
*Builds and executes the Budget at Plant level, balancing cross functional contribution.
*Designs and drives site preventive maintenance plan based on internal & external benchmarks
*Masters the group engineering standards and applies them to address complex technical requirements
*Plays an active role in CBU cross-functional teams & forums to promote, exchange and develop innovation
