Smart Meter Installer
Learn a new skill, and join the EDF Energy team as a Smart Meter Installer, covering the East London area. Ideally you’ll be within a 30 minute commute of one of the following postcodes: E1, E2, E3, E5, E6, E7, E8, E9, E10, E11, E12, E13, E14, E15, E16, E17, E20.
Our customers come from all walks of life. So when you visit their homes to install, maintain or remove their smart meter, you’ll thrive in delivering the kind of customer service that goes above and beyond their expectations.
You don’t need previous experience in a role like this. In fact, you don’t need to know the first thing about smart meters when you first join us. What we’re looking for are individuals who can deliver a great customer service and have the aptitude to learn and take on a technical career.
We’ll teach you everything you need to know about how smart meters work during an initial nine week training programme. Then, when you’re out and about installing and fixing them, your manager will regularly check in to see how everything’s going and offer any additional support you need.
In return for your hard work and dedication, you’ll qualify for great annual bonuses, fantastic training opportunities and a pension scheme – all on top of a great competitive annual salary (£19,632 rising to £28,408 upon completion of your training, includes London allowance).
You’ll be traveling between our customers’ homes, so you’ll need to have a manual driving licence with less than six points. Some manual duties will be required as part of your role, and an occupational requirement means you need to have full colour vision too.
