An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Competitor Intelligence Manager to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Competitor Intelligence Specialist, based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Blackfriars, London. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 36.25 hour week. This role is paying £between £52K and 63K pro rata, dependant on experience PAYE, for a daily rate for contractors the Rate would be £259 - £314.

Main Job Purpose
Profession: This role provides exposure to all of the Functions, but there is particular relevance to Finance, Marketing, and General management.

Brief Job Description:
As Global CI Manager, you provide direct support for the Unilever Senior Management Teams and Global Category / Brand teams, next to functional support throughout the world within the markets. You create and communicate a comprehensive understanding of Unilever's main competitors in Food & Refreshment, use this to challenge our strategies and plans, and lead major War Gaming exercises when required.

The level of exposure to senior leadership requires:
*Stunningly insightful and holistic analysis of our largest global competitors in Foods & Refreshment. (
*Provision of this critical competitor context information to leadership in advance of strategic choices being made - together with firm recommendations for action.
*Being absolutely up to date on key competitive events around the world - and aware of key developments that might affect their actions e.g. major economic and other trends.

Requirements & Key Competencies:
*Candidates should have high potential as this job provides unparalleled exposure to strategy formation and development within the company, at the highest levels of Unilever Global and regional management.
*You need to possess great analytical power, so you can perceive what is going on from different angles (Strategy, Consumer/Mkt, Finance, sales) and develop a concise and actionable perspective to influence others.
*Your permanent curiosity for a constantly changing outside world, pro-active attitude and persistence are a must.
*You need to leverage great Interpersonal communication skills, to deliver breakthrough analysis to wide and senior audiences and to facilitate Wargames.
*Your functional background is less relevant than your personal qualities and experience: given the holistic set of qualities required for the role, your main background can be a successful experience in Finance, Marketing, consultancy or market research.
*You will gain advantage from having worked within either Foods or Refreshment and had direct exposure to Global Food & Refreshment competitor(s). With the increasing importance of "Digital" affecting every aspect of our business, being "versed in the art" is essential.
