About the role

*In this key role, you'll manage some of the most complex partnerships we've funded. These partnerships are locally significant. We're looking for an individual who can manage relationships with confidence and credibility; someone who knows how to proactively support and challenge others to help them achieve great results. You'll have experience of working with senior local stakeholders, be that leaders in local authorities, in health, or in the voluntary and private sectors.
*You'll proactively work with cross-sector partnerships to enable them to be in the best position to achieve ambitious outcomes. You'll do this by building relationships based on clear expectations and supportive performance management. You can expect to be involved in gathering and sharing evidence from our funding.
The person
*You will be passionate about improving the lives of people most in need, skilled at building networks and bringing people together to make change happen, and excited by the challenge of finding out what works in enabling people to lead change, and sharing that learning with others.
*You will be a dynamic and flexible person capable of establishing, developing and maintaining successful long-term relationships with partnerships that will include local senior stakeholders, community groups, and senior decision-makers in local authorities and other agencies.
*You'll bring with you the ability to understand complex local systems and challenge established thinking. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Person Specification

In this role, you will:

*Develop an in-depth understanding and ownership of a portfolio of funded partnerships.
*Establish, develop and maintain successful one to one relationships with partnership leads, key partners, local and national stakeholders and decision makers.
*Be accountable for the performance of the partnerships you manage.
*Identify opportunities for and contribute to learning across the five strategic programmes.
*Work with external support and development and evaluation expertise and contractors to ensure funded partnerships receive the help they need.
To be considered for this exciting role, you will need to demonstrate the following specialist knowledge, experience, skills and expertise:
*Strong relationship management skills, including conflict management, influencing and negotiating skills
*Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills, and the ability to develop understanding and awareness of external policy and operating environments
*Ability to gather, interpret and apply a wide range of intelligence and evidence to support decision-making
*Diverse communication skills, with an ability to express ideas and views clearly and confidently, tailoring your content and style to the audience
*Advanced reasoning, problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to respond effectively to changing operating and policy contexts
*Networking skills and the ability to encourage collaboration between others
*Ability to review budgets and management accounts in order to draw conclusions on financial health and financial management

In addition, it would be desirable for you to have:

*Expertise in mental health/working with minors/co-production
*Expertise in generating, organising and disseminating learning
