Manpower are currently recruiting for a DV cleared 3nd line software support engineer to join their Client - an on-site delivery specialist for multi-vendor products and services. The applicant should be a customer-focused engineer with a genuine interest in solving peoples IT issues and empathetic to customer needs and requirements.

The 3rd line team members are expected to be specialists at solving a variety of software issues, while minimizing disruption to our users. A successful candidate will be someone who can blend first rate customer service with first rate technical skills. Previous experience resolving 2nd and 3rd line issues in an enterprise environment is essential.

This position is vital to the strategic growth and development of the customers IT infrastructure. We're looking for someone to support our continuous service improvement program, bring projects in to business as usual support and bring ideas and innovation to our service.

Responsibilities will include:
*To manage a range of technologies such as SharePoint, Domain Central Services (Active Directory), SCCM - to include optimisation, interoperability, and availability
*Hands on experience of day to day administration of Microsoft Active Directory including creation of users, security groups, GPO's and roaming profiles
*Experience administrating Windows print servers on Server 2003, 2008 including day to day user print operations
*Able to identify, define and resolve complex issues with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
*Coach and educate the 1st and 2nd Line Engineers, in developing their skills to improve first time fix and overall team performance
*Represent 3rd line application support on the Operations Bridge for high priority incidents, and support the problem management process
*Demonstrate resilience and the resourcefulness to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
*Ability to author documents such as reports, policies, procedures and workflows
*The candidate will learn and take responsibility for supporting new software systems as required and will be proactive in their approach to self-development
*The candidate will carry out any other duties in relation to the delivery of the customers support agreement as required by the Technical Services Team Leader or Service Delivery Manager

The candidate must be prepared to work on a nuclear licensed site & to have DV clearance

It will be essential to own experience in:
Active Directory
Microsoft WSUS (Windows Server Update Services)
SCCM management & operation (or similar network management system)
It will be desirable to own experience in:
Experience supporting any of the following software; Documentum, Diadem, Lumension, SharePoint
Administering Licence Servers
Administering Managed Print Servers
H.P. Service Manager
H.P. DDMI (Discovery & Dependency Mapping Inventory)
H.P. Asset Manager
ITIL Foundation
MCP / MCSE
