Manpower is recruiting for a Quality Engineer on behalf of our client located in Saffron Walden. The role is Permanent, and based within the Engineering Sector.

Key Accountabilities of this role include:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a growing team. Working alongside the Production Manager and Final Inspection teams you will provide support to the wider company, ensuring the products meet the high standards.
To be successful in this role you will be a technically capable quality engineer with an understanding of quality tools and techniques. You will have demonstrated delivery of significant quality improvements in similar positions.

Main Objectives of the Role
By providing day-to-day support to all teams alongside long-term continual improvements, you will ensure that the company continues to meet the customer requirements.
As the ambassador for the quality culture you will promote the behaviours and knowledge needed to engage the whole company in quality.

Responsibilities
"Management of the ISO9001:2015 Quality System.
"To support the operational side of quality inspection and testing alongside the Production Manager.
"To investigate internal non-conformances and implement appropriate preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence.
"Manage the customer complaints system, directly engaging with customers.
"Produce monthly quality performance statistics, analyse and communicate performance results to the management team.
"Work closely with the Procurement Manager to manage incoming raw material / component non-conformances ensuring minimal impact on production.
"To manage external customer and regulatory audits including those conducted by UL, CSA, VDE and BSI regulatory bodies.
"Manage the internal scrap system, investigate causes and implement suitable measures to prevent reoccurrence.
"Update and simplify manufacturing documentation and procedures, ensure existing documentation allows for manufacturing reproducibility and consistency.
"To manage the business operations register and liaise with the stakeholders so that the required tasks are completed in a timely manner.
"Working alongside the Procurement Manager, manage equipment maintenance service contracts.
"Maintain health & safety risk assessments on equipment and production processes.

Personal Profile
You must be methodical and logical in your approach and be able to provide clear and concise guidance for quality improvement. Your manufacturing experience will enable you to identify areas for improvement and make a positive contribution to the success of the business.
You will be passionate about improving quality awareness and achieving excellent customer satisfaction at every level of the business.
Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload are essential to balance the mix of urgent day-to-day tasks with the longer-term quality activities.

Shifts: Full Time.
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 Per Annum, Plus benefits
