Candidates from both franchise and private workshops are welcome. You will preferably have experience with modern diagnostics and have worked as a fully qualified Mechanic, however newly qualified candidates are also welcome.
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with a can-do approach to vehicle repair, preferably with experience in a modern workshop and modern diagnostics, however experience in various used vehicles or a private garage background will also be considered.
The Role
You will carry-out routine mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs to customer vehicles, understanding the vehicles condition and carrying out necessary repairs, ensuring customer vehicles are repaired right first time and following warranty procedures when needed.
Diagnosing vehicle problems using technical equipment and diagnostic tools, you'll determine how long service or repair will take and conduct routine mechanical and electrical service on a range of vehicles. You will also conduct PDIs and carry-out warranty repairs to manufacturer standards, whilst maintaining a clean and efficient workshop.
Working within a busy fast paced workshop, the successful candidate will be a valued member of the workshop team, contributing to team and department productivity.
What you will need
You will need a Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent). Alongside this, you'll have previous work experience in a vehicle workshop environment plus a full, clean driving license.
