Family Support Assistant

Manpower is currently recruiting for a Family Support Assistant to work on a full time temporary assignment within Children & Family Centres across Crawley, starting as soon as possible.

You will be required to identify the needs of families with children under 11, to help families to access relevant services through a range of support including home visiting, and offer a signposting and information service for parents and carers.

You will also work with the Children and Family Centre team in identifying and implementing relevant learning and training in the area of cultural diversity, and develop and facilitate groups and activities that meet the needs of local families and link with and support existing groups.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of safeguarding and processes, good communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to maintain trust with families who may be disengaged.

You will have a strong customer focus with the ability to work as a key contact and provide a professional service to meet customer's needs, both individually and in groups, have the ability to organise/prioritise work, and be able to meet agreed deadlines.

An enhanced DBS will be required for this position.
