An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Venue Manager to work for our client who is based in Swanley.

The role is to manage the venue effectively and efficiently, fulfilling all service, cost and quality parameters defined by the Operations Manager, to ensure customers receive a high quality service at the best possible profit for the company.

As a Venue Manager, your role will involve:
*Regularly monitor pricing and costs to maximise the profitability of current facilities in order to meet budgetary targets and achieve income growth without compromising customer service.
*Review and implement requirements, taking account of the expectations of customers, to ensure that the venue provides a high quality, value for money service.
*Recruit, motivate, train and develop staff.
*Operate the performance management procedures.
*Establish systems to monitor and control all non fixed costs i.e. staffing, stocks and purchases.
*Oversee site maintenance and cleaning of venue.
*Ensure all licensable activities undertaken are legally compliant. Ensure Health and Safety and Fire Risk assessments are in place and regularly reviewed in liaison with the Estates and Facilities Manager.
*Analyse and review any internal and external factors i.e. new competitors, changes in business requirements.
*Plan and implement sales and marketing strategy to ensure continued business growth.
*Seek and develop new business opportunities which will support the long term growth of the business making recommendations to the Operations Director.
*Collate time sheets from all venue staff and ensure they reach the Finance Department by the payroll deadlines.
*Work with the Marketing and Events Managers to ensure venue is promoted.

The successful applicant will need to have the following skills:
*Previous management experience in the catering industry which must have included supervising a team of staff aimed at a high quality high profit market.
*The ability to develop and demonstrate considerable man-management skills, organisational skills, a high customer service orientation, a commercial perspective and acumen akin to managing their own business.
*Knowledge of licensing, health and safety legislation and regulations and a thorough understanding of all aspects of bar, kitchen, restaurant and banqueting operations.
*Sales and marketing experience.

In return, you will benefit from pension, 4 week's holiday plus bank holidays and 2 additional days at Christmas. If you are required to work a bank holiday you will receive time off in lieu.

Salary: £24,964

Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week (including evenings and weekends). Current opening hours Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm, Saturday varied hours and Sunday 11am-4pm. You will not be required to work every weekend.
