Finance Officer

We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer who holds a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification or recognised accountancy qualification (AAT or similar). You will be based in Bartholomew Row, Birmingham, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Relevant experience of working in a finance role with experience of accounting systems is essential along with audit experience, particularly identifying evidence of expenditure for funding bodies.

Skills Required

* IT skills
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including use of functions such as lookups, macros, pivot tables and other data manipulation tools
* Good communication skills with the ability to explain financial matters clearly to non-finance experts and to present data in an appropriate format

You should have a self-managing work style, with the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines. The role involves working with faculty staff to collate and file evidence of expenditure in an auditable format.
