IT Assistant

I am recruiting for an IT Assistant to join a close knit team based in the city center. You will be required to assist and support the IT Manager with the desktop support, troubleshooting hardware/software problems, and carrying out projects as assigned. You will properly document support, repair, and project activities using a helpdesk ticketing system.


DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Responding to queries from staff and directors in relation to equipment functionality
*Ensure minimal disruption to business functions
*Ensuring core applications i.e. Digita, Star, Outlook are available to all staff
*Support remote working capability
*Create user guides
*Assist with effective planning and development of the IT infrastructure
*Carry out daily, weekly and monthly monitoring tasks as required


Experience
*At least one year's experience of working within a support function
*Familiar with virtualisation technologies such as Citrix Xenserver and VMWare
*Ability to troubleshoot common hardware/software issues
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows 7, and Windows 10 in a domain environment
*Programming and scripting experience would be a plus but is not essential

This is a full time and permanent position and you will be offered a salary of £22,000 per year. The working hours are 40 hours per week and you will be offered flexitime.
