Trainee Jetter Operator

The Jetters role is demanding both in terms of the physical nature of the work and the unusual and/or harsh environments in which it is carried out. This coupled with irregular working hours and the need to regularly work and stay away from home mean that the lifestyle does not suit everyone.
The role will include working away from home 5 days a week, occasionally weekends. An allowance would be paid each night and accommodation would be included.
However, there are many rewards for those who enjoy a challenge and like working on their own initiatives. These include travel, good remuneration, potential to develop and an opportunity to be a key player in a small team.
The role is normally as a second man in the two man team and reports to a Team leader on site/job specific issues.
Pre requisites for the role:

*Physically fit and able to handle the manual nature of the work
*An infectious "Can Do" attitude
*Able and willing to work away from home
*Able and willing to work in a range of diverse and sometimes dirty environments
*Mechanically minded with experience of using basic engineering tools and equipment.
*Drugs and Alcohol free
*Full clean driving licence

Typically, the role often attracts people from a military background who thrive on challenge and are accustomed to being away from home. However, it also appeals to those from a civilian background with a mechanical flare who are looking to looking for a change within a successful and ever growing company.
Duties include;
*Loading and unloading the company vans
*Setting up the jetting and ancillary equipment
*Maintaining high housekeeping standard and ensuring that all areas under control are kept clean and tidy
*Performing jetting operations to the schedule set by the Team Leader
*Site administration: daily checks, daily diaries, time sheets site diaries etc. as directed by the Team Leader
*Demobilising the site ensuring that the site is left clean and tidy and all equipment is checked back into the van.
*Keeping the van clean and tidy and ensuring that the agreed levels of PPE are maintained and informing the Team Leader if stocks are running low.
*Act as the envoy. Maintain a smart appearance, be polite in dealings with the client/client's staff and ensure that the brand in represented in the highest possible manner.
*To take part in other job relevant company activity as directed by the Team Leader, Contracts Manager or Directors
