We are working with a great business, who sit in the FMCG/ Food distribution space, looking for a Brand Manager to come and be part of their Marketing Team

Acting as a brand ambassador, you will create strategic plans for the brands and categories of products you are responsible for and implement their trade (retail and food service) and consumer execution.

You will develop strong relationship with brand owners and report regularly on the progress of your brand portfolio. You will work closely with the commercial teams (supermarkets, food service and independents) and Business Analyst to increase penetration and sales of your brands in the retail and food service sectors.



Key responsibilities


*Define trade marketing strategies for the brands and categories you are responsible for.
*Develop brand budgets and plans for: promotions, distribution and communication, and work closely with the sales teams and business analyst to create and implement these plans.
Management of external agencies - advertising, PR, social media, email marketing, experiential, design, consumer research.
*Report to brand owners, sales teams and directors on performance of brands.
*Create high impact brand messages, presentations and USPs aimed at a varied audience: trade, consumers, agencies and staff.
*Management of brand budgets.
*Understand and interpret data (Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby).
*Work closely with suppliers to manage brands product portfolio and life cycle of existing range.
*Present NPD concepts, manage product launches, deletions and price changes.
*Regularly update the company on the events happening with your brands and organise company activity so all are aware of product development and trained on ranges.
*Work with brand owners to raise awareness of opportunities available with financial support.
*Project manage the companies print publications.
*Become the champion for your brands, keeping abreast of all competitor activity, monitoring market trends and identifying potential areas in which to invest, based upon consumer needs and spending habits. Communicating this this to your line manager.
*Manage brands online presence by regularly updating the company websites and develop brand's presence through social networking channels.
