Industrial Operatives Required

Manpower are currently looking to recruit Filling Operatives on behalf of Calor Gas for their LPG filling plant in Stoney Stanton, Leicestershire.

Job Responsibilities:
-Operating various filling machines to safely and accurately fill gas bottles with propane and butane.
-Perform vital safety checks to a high standard to ensure gas bottles are readily usable and safe for customers.
-Loading and unloading of trailers, vehicles and pallets on to and from conveyor belts.

There are opportunities to progress in to higher skilled based roles, which include:
-Fork lift truck driver.
-Shunt driver.
-Bottle maintenance operative.
-Paint line operator.
-Section Coordinator.
-Pumpsman.

Successful candidates will:
-Be comfortable working outside in all weathers.
-Be comfortable with heavy lifting (Cylinders can weigh up to 40kg when full).
-Have an eye for attention and be willing to follow all work instructions and safety procedures.
-Have their own form of reliable transport.
-Be reliable and have good time-keeping.

Hours of work:

DAY SHIFT
Monday - Friday 07:00am to 16:00pm (50 mins break)



NIGHT SHIFT
Monday - Thursday 18:00pm to 03:00am (50 mins break)
Friday 16:00am - 01:00am (50 mins break)

Pay:
42.5 hours standard per week. Anything over 42.5 hours standard is Overtime paid at time and a half. There is the opportunity of 8 hours overtime during the week. Also, there is the occasional optional weekend work which is paid at time and a half.

Trainee Operative - £8.00 p/h
Fully Trained Rate - £9.00 p/h

An additional Bonus Night payment of £18.75 per night is paid if you work the night shift.

With overtime you could earn over £30,000 p.a.

Once you have gained experience within the plant Calor will agree to increase your hourly rate as shown above, however, this is providing you are flexible to work on any area of the filling plant and have a good attendance record.
