Manpower is partnering with a leading chemicals manufacturer in their search for a Project Manager (FTC 2 Years). Based at their top-tier COMAH site in West Yorkshire, this role will be instrumental in delivering £multi-million CapEx projects.

A leading name within the chemicals industry, the business manufactures raw materials that are used within a plethora of industries throughout the world.

As Project Manager, you will join a small but dedicated team to ensure that the extensive project portfolio is delivered on time and within budget across both the West Yorkshire site and a small facility located in Lincolnshire (minimal travel).

Key responsibilities will include:
*Contributing to the initial scoping and developing of business cases for CapEx projects
*Overseeing investment and optimisation projects that range in value from £1million to £25million+
*Ensuring that commissioning phases and initial start-ups are successful by taking a leading role in developing standard operating procedures and providing training and support
*Working cross-functionally with departments such as Production and Engineering to ensure that projects are delivered in line with the plans
*Engaging and motivating internal and external stakeholders to maintain an efficient project lifecycle
*Liaising with commercial and senior management teams to present information and share project data and updates

Set as a fixed term contract (FTC) for 2 years, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to gain experience at a true market leader and be involved in an exciting period of investment. It will suit an individual that possesses the following skills and experience;
*Degree education within Chemical or Process Engineering
*Proven track record of leading projects throughout the full lifecycle (from initial phase to commissioning)
*Experience of leading/managing multiple £million projects at any one time
*Demonstrable experience within a safety-critical industry (chemicals, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, utilities etc.)
*Formal qualification with Project Management (such as Prince2 or PMP)
*Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with people at all levels of seniority
*Excellent time management, organisational and planning skills
*Available to travel to other UK sites when required (less than 10%)

In return, the business can offer an extremely competitive salary on a 2 year fixed term basis - through a staff payroll, not a day rate.

It is a days role which works across Monday to Friday within office hours although flexible working is an option - please note that during project commissioning phases, there may be a requirement to work some weekends.
