This position is open only to students from the ADM department.

The technical support team provides students with guidance for using a wide range of
specialist digital and analogue photographic equipment along with key photographic
processes.

The role will involve studio management and the operation of manual equipment to help
students produce a range photographic and moving image outcomes. Experience in both
camera operation and lighting is preferred, along with analogue processes such as film
processing and darkroom printing.

You will be required to provide basic technical support to fellow students using the
workshop, ensure the space is used in a safe way and help the technical team with general
housekeeping duties. This is a great opportunity to further develop your own technical
understanding for Photography and Moving Image, whilst developing your interpersonal
skills in a professional working environment.

Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday 17.00 - 22:00
Friday 16.00 - 19.00
Saturday 10.00 - 16.00



Main duties:
* To provide basic technical support for students using photographic studios, film
processing room and darkroom. Training and support will be provided to the
successful candidate.
* The preparation and basic maintenance of photographic materials and studios.
* Ensure that students finish in good time prior to the building closing.
* Ensure that students maintain a clean working area prior to leaving the workshop.
* To assist the workshop technicians in keeping the workshop clean and tidy and stock
taking duties.
* To ensure that students use the workshops in a manner that is in adherence to all
relevant health and safety procedures and guidelines
* Informing security immediately in the event of an accident or injury
