Production Engineer

My client is currently looking for a Production Engineer to join their manufacturing team based on the Isle of Wight. In this role you will coordinate the facilities activity and take part in the overall production engineering. You will be a part of a highly motivated team increasing productivity and reducing costs.
As a Production Engineer, your main responsibilities will be to deliver a stable production process and reliable equipment. You will identify opportunities for Takt Time reduction and process optimisation by prioritising the different options.

Furthermore, my client is looking for you to be responsible for technical support to the factory. Deliver a stable and repeatable processes with supporting documentation (FMEAs, Technical Reports, Risk Assessments, Work Instructions, etc.) along with applying Lean tools to the processes.
So what are they looking for?
They are looking for you to have an appropriate engineering degree, possibly Mechanical or Production based, and at least 3 years of experience within production/process/equipment engineering from a manufacturing environment.

They are looking for you to have worked with improvement processes and you have established and maintained documents related to processes in assembly. Understanding of LEAN principles is an advantage, as is experience with Six Sigma (minimum Green Belt) and Microsoft Office.

Additionally, you must be able to design, run and evaluate trials and prepare the appropriate technical reports.
Lastly, it is very important that you understand safety and quality processes and reporting.
