Planner/Supply Co-ordinator

Our manufacturing client based in Balliol Business Park, Newcastle are looking for an experienced Planner/Supply Co-ordinator.

Salary - £24,869.68
Hours - 37.5 - Monday to Friday
Location - Newcastle Balliol

The Planner/Supply Co-coordinator position is responsible for supporting the team with all aspects of planning/supply for manufactured and bought in products. You are expected to support with leading continuous improvement within the supply chain and to be a central point of contact between various functions. You should aim to be proactive in solving problems as well as responding to current issues and resolving them quickly.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

Support with the daily batch planning for all manufacturing facilities
Contribution of information for Production Review to calculate new monthly target
Calculating & maintaining safety stocks
Seasonal batch size review and strategic batch size change management
Stock re-distribution to achieve the most effective outcome whilst controlling costs
Management of SLOB stock to ensure minimal volumes within the annual stock target and part of shelf life review team
Data maintenance for various data-bases
Compilation of associated KPIs
The Purchase of all Bought in products
Vendor management reporting
Contract review and negotiation

GCSE / A Level / NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
Ability to read and understand computer systems as well
IT literate in word processing and data storage applications - ability to read screen displays and mindset for analysis through data
Excellent verbal communications and team work skills
