Immediate start as a Production Operative (12 weeks temp to perm)for our Client based in Trafford Park.
Full time position.
Working hours Monday to Thursday 07:30 till 16:30, Friday 07:30 -13:30
Key Responsibilities:-
To safely operate sheet metal working machinery to its maximum potential and achieve production targets, whilst maintaining the quality of manufactured sheet metal duct fittings.
Ensure consistent acceptable quality of products and report any defects to the team leader.
General housekeeping, ensuring that the machinery and its adjacent area is kept clean and tidy.
To ensure safety guards are in place at all times and be aware of, and comply with, all health and safety requirements.
When necessary, help with the Picking / Packing of goods and quality of goods. (Climbing up and down ladders / using fork lift).
Maintain production/material records.
Involvement in company stock taking as necessary.
Willing to learn new skills and undertake training as required
Receiving and checking for quantity and quality of goods received (including 'booking in' of goods if instructed.)
Loading and unloading of vehicles.
Lifting and carrying of goods.
Any other duties that the Production Manager may request to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the branch.
Candidates should be able to evidence:
Previous Production or Warehouse experience. Or demonstrate aptitude/ability to perform Production and Warehouse duties.
Excellent attention to detail coupled with the ability to achieve production/delivery targets.
Ability to work in a fast paced repetitive environment.
Be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Therefore possessing a good level of written and verbal English.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work as an effective part of a team.
Self-motivated, with a "can do" attitude.
A flexible approach to work, providing back up in other departments when required.
Excellent time keeping and attendance record.
