Are you experienced in LV/HV/EHV networks & feel confident to be able to work to the UK DNO Standards?

One of the UK's largest M&E contractors are looking for a 11kv Senior Authorised Person to join their Southampton team.

If this is you, you would be working on LV/HV/EHV networks & associated plant, as well as providing technical support during early sales engagement.

In this role you will undertake full SAP operational duties ranging from operational switching, network control, creating and implementing protection settings. There may also be a requirement to provide project management expertise across larger HV Projects.

Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role already & have significant operational experience on a diverse range of HV and LV systems. You will also be accredited to the standards set by a UK licenced Distribution Network Operator.

You'll be familiar with, and comply with, all Suspension of Operational Practice, Dangerous Incident Notifications and National Defect Reports, with proven expertise in complex site project and contract management.

It would be beneficial to have extensive knowledge of Switching and Network Control as well as the construction, commissioning and operation of electrical plant and equipment on all types of HV/EHV systems, including complex protection schemes up to 11kV and grading studies.

You will have to be passionate about safety & be keen to promote this throughout your team and to all Contractors on site - utilising your people skills, you will be comfortable challenging any unsafe behaviours or attitudes.

Being able to talk technical is essential & you must be willing to share your knowledge with any less-experienced colleagues.

A full UK driving licence is also essential to enable you to cover the network area.
