Manpower are proud to be working in partnership with one of the UK's leading service providers of choice, for Field Engineering and Managed Services to Telecoms and Internet Service Providers. Their impressive portfolio of clients includes some of the biggest names in the Industry. Together, we are now looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to be based from their offices in Stevenage.

The Successful applicant will report into the Director of Business Development. They will be tasked with identifying, adding additional clients and revenue streams to the existing order book and will drive new, profitable sales volumes.

Key responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Increasing Revenue and Profit
  • To Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • To maintain and develop market related technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, industry related networking events and reviewing industry relevant publications and trends
  • Ensure new contract wins are profitable
  • Agree and maintain business rate cards
  • Act as a point of contact for the prospective client during financial, operational and legal discussions
  • Ensure Project Managers and Client Relationship Managers are assigned up closure of a deal

What will success look like in the role?

  • Delivery of increase in revenue and profitability from new client wins
  • Increasing revenue and profit by supporting Client Relationship Managers in selling additional services to existing clients
  • Ensure the sales team deliver against objectives and targets which yourself and the Director have discussed and implemented

Key person specifications:

  • Previous experience of Managing a Sales team, preferably within the Telecommunications industry
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Previous B2B sales experience, within the Telecommunications industry
  • Able to demonstrate experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients
  • Experience of working within the Telecommunications industry with a knowledge of available products and services offered by Providers
  • Strong networking, business development and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Passionate about success
  • Possess a positive, can do attitude
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks logically
  • Willingness to travel within the UK
