Commercial Engineer

Manpower are currently working with a prominent North East engineering company as they look to appoint a new business development manager following continued success across the business.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you would be responsible for coordinating commercial activities for current and future business to promote business growth. You will be involved from bid and tendering, ensuring the all client and business quality requirements are considered and factored into the process. You will work to provide accurate estimates, using existing data and liaising with purchasing to create informed estimates and log information in the MRP system. You will liaise with the appropriate internal departments to ensure all engineering plans are understood and feasible before final bid submission.

You will have a strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing including welding, machining, and fabrication. You will have an understanding of the commercial process on large engineering projects. You will have experience working with an MRP system and MS project and be comfortable inputting and retrieving information.
