Project Assistant, University of Leeds (temp role at Grade 4)

Job Description

What does the role entail?

The main duties will include:

  • Providing administrative support for the effective organisation, management and delivery of an audit ofBiomedical Engineering (BME) in East Africa including:
    • Liaison with Co-Investigator and Project Co-ordinator based at the host university (Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda)
    • Collation of data, country-specific information and regional level information generated from the project
    • Provision of regular information and newsletters to partner organisations in East Africa
  • Providing monthly reports for the Principal and Co-Investigators (PI and Co-I) and the Research and Innovation Development Group at the University of Leeds
  • Issuing interim and final reports for stakeholders
  • Arranging travel for the PI in East Africa and, in conjunction with the Project Co-ordinator in Uganda, provide logistical support for travel and itineraries undertaken in East Africa and the UK
  • Organising and providing support for activities to ensure a successful programme and audit including setting up and attending meetings, workshops, presentations, training events and writing reports of these events
  • Leading in the organisation and administration of the final dissemination Audit Report and assisting in the organisation of the final project workshop
  • Acting as first point of contact for the project and audit in the UK
