Manufacturing Manager - Plymouth - £60K - £65K

Manpower are delighted to be working with our client to find a Manufacturing Manager in Plymouth. Our client is one of the worlds leading manufacturing companies that has achieved a market dominance through a commitment to providing their customers with excellence in every respect. As the new Manufacturing Manager, you will join the existing dedicated team of highly skilled and motivated staff who work in their modern office based in beautiful Devonshire countryside.

About the role

In this busy role of Manufacturing Manager, you will be looking after the health, safety and welfare of employees within the production departments. You will have daily contact with the Operations Director and will be managing approximately 350 staff members. You will be responsible for the achievement of output targets including delivery, quality and productivity. You will have close liaison's with customer services team to provide excellent levels of service. As a member of the senior management team you will be working effectively with the full range of internal and external stakeholders.

About the candidate

This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking to work for a successful long-standing company who is going from strength to strength.

You will have a solid engineering background, that includes working with sheet metal cutting, forming and welding alongside a minimum HNC qualification in Production or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical Engineering would be considered). Alongside excellent trade qualifications you will also have a degree level qualification in management/business or equivalent with experience of managing in a multinational company and over 200 staff.

As Manufacturing Manager, you will have exceptional leadership and communication skills, have a methodical and thorough approach to the delivery, productivity and quality of all products produced on site. Experience and knowledge in production engineering, planning and new product introduction.
