HGV Mechanic

Working in a busy workshop environment, you will be servicing and maintaining a modern fleet of HGV vehicles and trailers.

The successful candidate will preferably have a Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Repair or similar, with proven experience working on commercial vehicles and trailers as a Commercial Vehicle Mechanic.

What you will be doing:

Carry out servicing, mechanical maintenance and P.S.V. preparation on a range of commercial vehicles, trailers and HGV's from a modern fleet. Using workshop tools and equipment, along with the mechanical team you will ensure the fleet is serviced to a high standard in order to minimize vehicle faults and breakdowns.

Diagnose faults effectively and carry out mechanical repairs efficiently

Safety inspections and diagnostics

Complete accurate documentation in a timely manner and keep records up to date

What we are looking for:

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Repair or similar (Light Vehicle or Plant Repair)
• Experience working on commercial vehicles and trailers in a workshop environment
• Preferably experience with modern diagnostics

Permanent role, full time hours Monday to Friday with flexible overtime opportunities.
