Our client is a leading specialist for rubber and plastics technology. As part of the production team you would be responsible for the manufacture of rubber belting to the standards set out by the Cell Manager ensuring that quality checks are completed and that reject levels and scrap targets are controlled.

The manufacturing process is in 3 parts

1st stage - Building (this is a 2 man job, one would be building whilst one pouring. Target 900/1000 cycles)

2nd stage - Curing (very physical role, agility is needed as there would be a lot of stopping down and getting inside drums)

3rd stage - Slitting (must be numeric and have excellent attention to details carrying out various tests)

You will initially start your new role on one of the processes but always working towards being multi-skilled in all areas.

Each shift cycle is an 18 day shift pattern which includes weekends rotating 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am. Paid 39 hours per week including the 8 days off.

£9.40 per hour for the first 12 weeks which will rise to £12.61
