An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue chip IT company, is currently seeking a Finance Systems Analyst based on their site in Aldershot. This is a full-time, permanent role Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.15pm (45 minutes Lunch) The role is paying up to £31,500K (PAYE) depending on experience.

The Finance Systems Analyst will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the EMEA reporting systems and processes. The role is instrumental in driving systems and reporting improvements to the benefit of the wider Finance community.

A key member of the EMEA Finance team and has constant interactions with the team and the managers. This role will report to and work closely with the European Finance Analyst but will have the opportunity to work independently and use their own initiative.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist/review month-end accounting and reporting
  • Ensure integrity of data in the systems
  • Troubleshoot FP&A system & reporting issues - reconciliation of data mismatches
  • Building/maintaining reporting tools/standardised templates
  • Develop knowledge of data structures and process timelines
  • Manage creation of cost centres and amendments to financial structural hierarchy
  • Maintain mapping tables
  • SharePoint management
  • Prepare and run defined financial reports for management review as per reporting schedule (monthly, quarterly, forecast and budgeting)
  • Monthly reporting and support with submissions to senior management
  • Documenting process guidelines
  • Assist with delivery of financial systems training to end users
  • Support collation of metrics for reporting in the company Balanced Scorecard
  • Very occasional travel

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Finance system and analysis background in a Finance function
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and quality
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office - advanced Excel is a must
  • Knowledge of SAP business software applications
  • VBA/Macro writing experience
  • Process mapping, modelling skills
  • Highly flexible, adept at managing expectations and adapts to changing business needs
  • BPSS will be required once started
