We are actively seeking to recruit a Multi skilled Maintenance Operative to join our clients team, you will be based in an Oxford Hospital where you will oversee all maintenance requirements. The hours are 8:00am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday (there must be some flexibility due to jobs planned for the day which may mean some late finishes even some early call outs)

Role Responsibility:

  • To operate planned maintenance procedures for assets etc, effectively and safely within their range of qualifications, training and experience.

  • To deal effectively and safely with reactive works to various plant and machinery. Within their range of qualifications, training and experience as required and by out of hours response where necessary.

  • To deliver planned maintenance tasks for assets etc, effectively and safely within their range of qualifications, training and experience.

  • To deal effectively and safely with reactive works to various plant, systems and machinery, within their range of qualifications, training and experience as required and by out of hours response where necessary.

  • To assist in the training and development of other maintenance/technical staff involved in site maintenance activities.

  • Maintenance inspection and repairs to various types of heating, water, ventilation, electrical, mechanical, Medical gases and security etc. equipment and services on site.
  • Diagnosing faults on all M & E support systems and rectifying where within levels of competence.

  • Following detailed drawings, operational maintenance manuals and CAFM task sheets in order to carry out all planned maintenance, routine inspections and repairs.
  • Assisting in development of maintenance routines and procedures and preparing and maintaining relevant technical records.

  • Working with other craft qualified, semi-skilled and non-skilled maintenance staff to develop cross-skilling and cover all levels and aspects of maintenance activities on a teamwork basis.

  • To use various computer based monitoring instruments and systems for the effective control and operation of plant and fault diagnosis.

  • Able to undertake some work of other trades as required.

  • Must be aware of current health and safety legislation.

  • Participate in team roster and on call emergency call out arrangements.

  • Facilitate site attendance by specialist sub-contractors.

  • To complete all regulatory and mandated documentation as required - such as permits to work

  • Where qualified and competent, to act as CP, AP or RP for site activities.

  • To be prepared to train as CP, AP or RP.

  • To identify areas for improvement in response to customer's requirements and needs

  • To report on plant and equipment at the end of its life cycle and ensure timely replacements with the minimum of disruption.

  • To have an understanding of the budgetary restraints and working within financial guidelines.

  • Ensure all changes of equipment are recorded correctly on the asset register.

  • Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably requested by management.

Candidate:

The ideal candidate should have a plumbing qualification with a minimum of 2 years

Experience.
