General Assistant

Manpower is currently recruiting for a General Assistant to support with maintenance and deliveries for private properties based in London/Surrey.

Duties:

• Building and dismantling furniture
• Basic maintenance of the grounds
• Load and unload company vehicles with furniture and building materials
• Carry out basic vehicle checks and maintenance on a regular basis
• Hand all completed forms back into the office at the end of each day
• Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding health and safety
• Any other duties as and when required

Experience/Skills Required

• Previous professional experience in a similar role
• Experience of building and dismantling general items
• Health and safety manual handling certificate
• Driving knowledge of Surrey, London and Suffolk (desirable)
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Strong time management, organisation and planning skills
• High level of written and verbal communication skills across all levels
• Self-motivated with the ability to use their initiative
• Highly flexible and adaptable - ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends and be on call
• Can work under pressure with the ability to meet strict deadlines
• Reliable and punctual
• Highly professional and presentable
• Able to work well in a team and unsupervised
• Extremely confidential
• Can follow instructions in a cooperative and accurate manner
• No holidays booked (special events can be accommodated but nothing longer than 2-3 days)
