An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client is a Leading Global FMCG Company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum and are currently looking for an Assistant HRBP based at their prestigious facility in Blackfriars. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 36.25-hour week and to start ASAP. This role is paying up to £35,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

This role forms part of one of the 3 of our clients Global Divisions, called Home Care. They operate in 4 categories, namely Fabric Solutions, Fabric Sensations, Home & Hygiene and Life Essentials, with some iconic brands like Persil, Comfort, Domestos, Cif, Surf etc.

This is an Assistant Global HR Business Partner position, supporting Divisional Home Care marketing teams and reporting to Sr. HR Manager who leads HR Business Partnering for Global Marketing.

The core of the job is Talent Management, Performance Management for these teams that are spread across the globe (UK, Singapore, USA, India) but largely in the UK (100VE). We are looking for someone with strong communication, ability to connect with multiple stakeholders (across seniority levels) and potential to manage a multitude of tasks as an HR generalist.

The role has a great mix of Business Partnering as well as Expertise. The role is about providing operational business partnering and case management support for recruitment, reward, performance management as per appropriate HR processes.

This would be done by

  • Implementing talent plans that develop inclusive, engaged teams with a talent pipeline fit for the future.
  • Taking proactive steps to address talent mix eg Gender Balance, Unilever Future Leaders Programme, external and internal recruitment, International Assignees.
  • Supporting implementation of Purpose workshops and Development People Forums and creation of 4P's for teams, (people, pay, process and promotion) and end of year process including reward

At the very foundation of this role is working through various relationships within the HR community of Data Specialists, Talent Advisors, and People Experience Leads across the locations where our population is based. Engagement is primarily with line manager, Cluster/Local HRBPs, expertise teams as well as Directors/LMs.

The ideal candidate

This role would suit a self starter, good at coaching teams through change and passionate about developing Talent. The person needs to have the ability to flex between operational and strategic HR activities. He/she will need to manage a wide and varied range of stakeholders in both the development and implementation of key initiatives and activities whilst developing strong business relationships. A high level of organisational awareness and a global and multi-cultural outlook is required. It also offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure across multiple geographies as the remit is global and he/she will need to forge networks between clusters and global teams and this requires strong working relationships with the extended HR network in geographies.

  • Proven track record of delivery in HR processes (for example, talent management, performance management and reward.
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Organised and able to manage time and operational workload
  • Ability to work independently and get things going in the absence of managerial supervision
  • An integrator who is able to work collaboratively, build relationships, and deliver results through geography HR networks.
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience in challenging / difficult situations, dealing with ambiguity & flexibility
  • Ability to engage others, facilitate meetings, coach others through change.
