Deputy Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Leicester working as a Deputy Team Leader helping with the day to day build, planning and delivery of Fire Alarm Panels and small assemblies on the production line and you will step in as Team Leader when the current Team Leader is on Holiday/ill. This role pays £9 per p/h and the working hours are 8.00am - 16.45 and is a temporary for 5 months initially but there is a possibility to extend.

Principal Responsibilities

Health & Safety

• Observe cell H&S requirements (Daily Safety Checks, Safe Systems of Work & Area Risk Assessments)
• Proactive identification of hazards and behaviours
• Supporting the T.L to ensure compliance with HSE requirements, recording of results and escalation of issues

Team KPI's (Safety, Quality, Delivery & Costs)

• Observe cell Standard Operating Sheets
• Maintain visual cell metrics (S, Q, D & C)
• Supporting the T. L in responding to, and escalation of out of condition metrics (Andon)
• Supporting the T.L in the proactive identification, planning and execution of improvement opportunities.
• Deputise in T.L absence at Tier Meetings

Key Tasks/Process

• General panel assembly including the use of hand and power tools, fixtures and fittings
• Support the T.L in the development, implementation and auditing of standard work
• Support for general team admin duties - stock discrepancies etc
• SAP use
