Auto Electrician

We are looking for an Auto Electrician to join an existing team, providing coverage for car dealerships in the North of England and Scotland.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a recently qualified Vehicle Technician or Auto Electrician to progress their career by joining an ethical company who provide modern facilities and a clear development path with training opportunities for their employees.

The main purpose of this role is to work alongside our approved dealers to ensure they have the ability to fit payment reminder devices (black boxes) and to manage their inventory. You will help develop the training material to constantly improve this area of delivery, carry out emergency customer visits and review any service quality device issues.

Job Title & Location:

Your geographical area would cover the North of England and Scotland.

Salary and Benefits:

Basic salary of £22,000 plus £2,000 car allowance plus bonus.

Type of Role:

This is a permanent role working 37½ hours per week (Monday - Friday). Weekend work maybe required for emergency call outs.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively demonstrate the fitting of devices into a wide range of vehicles and management of these devices on their system platforms.
  • Support with emergency customer call outs for device issues.
  • Diagnose vehicle issue to rule out the device being at fault.
  • Carry out audits with our network of dealers to assess the self-fit program of our payment reminder devices.
  • Be confident and professional in dealing with customers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard.

Skills and Experience Required:

Previous experience of electrical device fitting for a wide range of used vehicles, is preferable. You will have a broad understanding of car mechanics gained through working in the automotive industry or attending college, be able to demonstrate a good level of both written and verbal communication and be able to use Microsoft Office.

A valid U.K. driving licence is essential for this role
