The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Programme Director in the coordination of the initial implementation and ongoing development of the Programme. This will involve a wide and varied range of duties, including arranging programme meetings and conferences, acting as a key point of contact with the 70 programme participants, preparing meeting papers, reports and other documents, providing administration for Programme contracts, and supporting the CRNCC finance team in the financial management of the Programme. The 70 programme participants have are located throughout the NHS in England.


The postholder will also support the Programme Director in managing and delivering other NIHR nursing and midwifery related initiatives, which include the International Nurses Day, the Nursing Times Research Awards and the Reproductive Health and Childbirth National Research Champions (midwifery champions) network and annual conference.

As Programme Coordinator your main duties will include:

  • Providing high level administrative and project support to the Programme Director;
  • Managing the administration of the funding contracts for the programme participants, and any other related contracts;
  • Supporting the CRNCC Finance Team in the financial management of the programme, including the coordination of annual and ad hoc financial returns;
  • Developing effective action logs and pro-active processes to ensure all actions are monitored, followed up and completed in a timely fashion by team members to meet programme deadlines;
  • Preparation of briefings for the Programme Director to ensure they are well informed against the background of a complex workload;
  • Working collaboratively at all times as part of a self-managed professional team to ensure the Programme Director is consistently supported to a high level;
  • Supporting the Programme Director across the range of projects and responsibilities.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday business hours.
