Job Details
Our client is currently looking for an S.O.C.S. Buyer to join their team based in Slough.
Our client is a leading global paints and Coatings Company and a major producer of speciality chemicals, with leading market positions and brands in countries around the world. They operate in a number of important market segments ranging from buildings and infrastructure to transport, industrial and consumer goods
As you a Buyer you will be working closely with all areas of the UK&Ire business on the specific category that provides operational and site requirements for the day to day and longer term running of the business. Areas could include PPE, MRO, Facilities, Buildings, Spare parts and Service contracting.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Procurement or Supply chain role, with a detailed level of understanding of the Purchase-to-Pay process, Facilities Management, MRO and Site Services
Musts:
- Strategic Category experience preferably within the SOCS category
- Ability to work on multiple projects and in matrix organisation
- Knowledge of contract writing
- Demonstrate ability to manage risks
- Team player
- Willingness to travel (UK)
- Knowledge of SAP
Skills:
- Strong communicator and negotiator at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across a number of sites
- Good internal and external network, keeping the business up to date with market developments
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Good communicator
Educational Level:
- UK 'A' level or equivalent
- CIPS Qualified an advantage (or equivalent)
- Relevant procurement experience within multinational, multi-site operation
