Manpower is partnering with market-leading coatings manufacturer PPG in their search for a Regulatory Affairs Manager. Joining the team at their European HQ in Leeds, as Regulatory Affairs Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the business unit's ongoing compliance to all current and future legislation.

With 130 years of history behind them, PPG are one of the world's leading paints, coatings and materials manufacturers. Their site in Birstall is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, and produces household names such as Johnstone's and Leyland.

In the role of Regulatory Affairs Manager - which has a national remit - you will join the senior leadership team and be instrumental in addressing the following challenges:
*Ensuring PPG Architectural Coatings' compliance with all current and future legislation
*Providing specialist information and advice to relevant stakeholders such as customers
*Maintain an effective system for storing and providing specialist information
*Proactively stay up to date with market regulatory changes that may affect PPG
*Maintain a strong understanding of REACH/CLP
*Ensure that products are registered under COPR as required
*Promote a culture of health and safety awareness within the organisation
*Provide strategic leadership the Analytical Laboratory and its team members

This role, which is essential to PPG's operations here in the UK, will suit an individual that can demonstrate the following skills and experience;
*Degree educated within a relevant field (for example Chemistry)
*Extensive knowledge of the chemicals industry (ideally within coatings)
*Proven track record of leadership within a senior position
*Ability to interpret and present technical information to a wide range of people
*Strong understanding of compliance and regulation within the chemicals industry
*An inquisitive and proactive approach to sourcing new information within chemicals regulations
*Organised with the ability to develop efficient systems and processes
