An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client Bosch is currently looking for an Electronic Repair Technician based at the Bosch Rexroth Limited facility in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. This is a full time permanent role starting ASAP, working a 37.5 hour week (08:30-16:30 Mon-Fri), paying up to £26,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

PURPOSE;
To provide a high quality, comprehensive, accurate and timely servicing, repair and testing of electronic equipment to support the achievement of department objectives and the provision of superior service.

MAIN OBJECTIVES & TASKS;
Inspecting electronic equipment
Repairing AC Servo Amplifiers
Interpreting circuit drawings
Carrying out upgrades / modifications
Completing quality tests

1. To build and maintain a good working knowledge of electronic equipment, drives and controls systems and their assembly methods, company products and services, customers and working practices, to perform the role efficiently and effectively.

2. To contribute to the overall department objectives and plan by:
* Sharing information with others to enable them to fulfil their role.
* Using knowledge, information and skills in planning and working for the department.
* Sharing ideas and suggestions for improvements.

3. To provide a comprehensive, proactive and effective servicing, repair and testing of electronic equipment by:
* Agreeing relevant individual/personal objectives, targets and success criteria for assigned activities and own area of work such as:
- Checking and verifying work requirements from the repair order progress sheet to meet customer requirements.
- Carrying out disassembly and inspection of electronic equipment, identifying correct toolings, components and materials required to complete servicing and repair.
- Completing accurate and concise inspection reports, including all replacement parts identified and providing customers with an accurate condition report.
- Reading and interpreting circuit drawings ensuring assembly and repair meets customer specifications and safety requirements.
- Carrying out tests to verify the quality and function of re-assembled electronic equipment.
- Completing all necessary paperwork (SAP, repair order progress sheet, repair report, stores requisitions, inspection records, job completion sheets) accurately and on time.
- Checking current stock levels and informing team leaders of any shortages or requirements.
- Carrying out conversions, upgrades or modifications of electronic equipment by using the KAD information supplied by the manufacturing plant.
- Carrying out on site servicing and repair as and when required by the customer.
- Providing constructive feedback to the design team on performance of drawings and design, recommending modifications where appropriate.
- Carrying out day to day housekeeping within area of work, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
* Agreeing job requirements and competencies, participating in relevant training and development and asking for support as required.
* Monitoring and sharing own progress and addressing any changes, taking corrective action as required.
* Communicating regularly with other members of the department, ensuring continuous interaction and contribution to effective team working.

4. To ensure the efficient and effective utilisation of financial and physical resources by:
* Maximising the use of available resources and avoiding waste.
* Adhering to standards, policies and procedures.
* Ensuring that own actions fit with and/or enhance others used in the department.

* To carry out other tasks that may be reasonably requested from time to time.
* To complete all tasks and objectives in accordance with customers' technical, quality and delivery requirements, standard company procedures and policies, Health and Safety requirements and industry Codes of Practice.

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIALIST TRAINING;
* HNC Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
* Or equivalent qualifications and/or experience (BTEC National or City & Guilds)
* Working knowledge of Microsoft office products
* SAP R3 or similar integrated system
