An exciting new opportunity for a recent graduate has become available in the Settlements team.
You will be exposed to multiple areas of the business as well as external counter-parties, and accountable for managing the cash flow resulting from transactions and trades executed by the commercial business teams.

You will be responsible for all matters relating to the management of the processes, validations, settlement and reporting of EDF Energy's commercial activity. The role covers all gas, electricity and emissions trading, as well as the additional trading and operational charges associated with running a large generation portfolio, electricity supply business and gas storage assets.

You will be involved with multiple internal stakeholders including trading, risk, commercial, treasury and regulation teams. In addition you will deal with other energy companies as well as industry bodies such as National Grid and Ofgem.

Duties:
* Validation, settlement and reporting of Trading activity.
* Ensuring compliance with EU regulatory reporting policies.
* Development and maintenance of self-supported models and company systems.
* Proactively identify and implement steps to improve the quality of the team's models and databases to support operational activities and ad hoc analysis.
* Documentation and maintenance of all related business processes.
* The timely and accurate processing of payments through SAP.


Skills & Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Highly organised and the ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively.
* Good interpersonal skills - able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Attention to detail and focus on the accuracy of work and procedures.
* Proficient Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables and vlookups, ideally VBA ).
