The Client:
Due to a major departmental relocation from London to Central Bristol Manpower are currently recruiting for Customer Banking Officers / Administrators on behalf of our client RBS Coutts - one of the oldest and most prestigious private banking organisations in the world. Historically bankers to the monarchy and nobility, today the bank act as wealth manager to a wider range of high net-worth clients, including famous celebrities, sportsmen/women, high-ranking executives etc.

The Opportunity:
There are vacancies available across a number of teams working within Private Banking Operations (Credit*, Investments, Probate and Tax Operations). Positions vary in complexity however the main emphasis for all roles will be on providing a crucial point of contact to stakeholders and clients, supporting Bankers and Wealth Managers in the professional management of client relationships and generally supporting the transition of work within the centre whilst providing the best in customer service.

Full-time positions are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday and are offered on a 'temp to perm' basis; the positions becoming permanent after 14 weeks. The salary is £9.00 per hour during the initial temporary stage; the eventual permanent position will then offer a starting salary of £20,306 (includes benefit funding) plus a discretionary salary bonus scheme.

Our client is an investor in people, therefore interviews will only be offered to those candidates who can demonstrate that they wish to commit to the role and are looking to successfully transition into a permanent position with the bank.

Candidate profile:
The successful candidate will be a recent finance graduate (or similar business discipline) interested in kick-starting a career in banking, or a strong administrator with excellent transferable skills. Experience of working in a banking or financial services environment would be extremely desirable, although not essential. General administration skills, highly developed communication skills (includes the composition of professional and concise correspondence) and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are a prerequisite for this role. Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent command of the English language are also crucial, as you will be required to liaise with people at all levels of the business, including private bankers, wealth managers, accountants, lawyers etc. on a daily basis. Experience of dealing with complex processing issues would also be highly desirable.

Essential skills and experience
> Excellent standard of education, including Maths and English Language is essential.

> Administration experience, ideally gained within a banking / finance operation (highly desirable).

> Computer Literate: MS Software including Word and Excel (essential).

> Advanced typing skills: high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential (part of the recruitment process will include an Evaluate Advanced Copy Typing assessment).

> Strong communication skills: excellent standard of spoken English, confident telephone manner and highly developed and concise letter writing skills (essential).

> Customer Service driven.

> Positive attitude and a keenness to succeed, together with strong interpersonal and team playing skills.

> To meet the RBS Group's regulatory requirements all candidates applying for this vacancy will be security screened prior to commencing employment. This includes a Police background check and credit check, therefore a minimum of 1 year's continuous residency at a UK address and the provision of employment and /or education references covering the past two years are required.

* NOTE: Some positions may require up to 14 weeks training at Coutts's prestigious offices in London's financial district - all travel, accommodation and food expenses will be covered by the client.
