Job Purpose:

To plan and deliver individual training programmes for each learner in liaison with the Youth Projects Manager, relevant to the content of the Study Programme (or similar). The Study Programme allows people to follow a personalised programme tailored to their individual needs and aspirations.

Delivering qualifications including employability and personal and social development as well as sourcing work placements for learners and assisting the learners to progress to an Apprenticeship programme and/or secure employment.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

The ability to plan and deliver sessions and review Learner progress. The ability to deliver training and assess qualifications, while working closely with learners to aid their learning and support their progression throughout their programme.

Key Competencies:

*A teaching qualification eg 7306/07 Cert Ed
*A1/D32, D33
*IT literate - Microsoft applications eg Word, Excel, Outlook
*Good communication skills
*Strong administrative and organisational skills

Principle Job Accountabilities:

*Ensure all detailed aspects of the Study Programme (or similar) are revised and updated, as required, with appropriate and comprehensive lesson plans for delivery to the Learners in the training centre
*Reviewing and monitoring of Learners throughout the duration of their programme, in a timely manner
*Liaise with employers for the purpose of engagement of work placement and Learner review region-wide
*Deliver a range of qualifications to the learners as per their individual learning plans
*Develop, review and deliver innovative resources
*Regularly monitor and maximise the GLH for each learner
*Liaise with Skills for Life Tutors regarding Learner progress with Functional Skills qualifications
*Liaise with other Programme Tutors, delivering NVQs
*To ensure achievement of all contract and Learner targets, defined by the Executive Managers and contained within the Company Development Plan
*To ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and on time to comply with audit and funding requirements
*Enhance teaching standards by ongoing support and professional development
*Provide absence cover and support for other members of the department
*Maintain and update all relevant processes for the department and ensure quality assurance levels are met
*Effective reporting to the Youth Projects Manager, as required
*To represent the Company to external bodies, where appropriate
*Ensure compliance with Company policies including equality and diversity and health and safety
