My client, a well-established manufacturer and distributor is looking for a Senior Accounts and HR Administrator to join their team to carry out accountancy management functions in order to maintain the efficiency of the department.

About the job
You will be the manager of two excellent accounts assistants and reporting directly into the operational manager. The company has, over time, developed a strong structure and is maintaining this by ensuring they have strong managers at the helm of each department and you will be the manager of the accounts department. You will be actively involved with the on goings of the business, attending manager meetings with the directors and having an input on budgets and accounts. There will be an element of minute taking within the managers meetings to ensure everybody is on the same page.

As well as managing the small team, you will also be responsible for monthly reporting to the operations manager including profit and loss, balance sheets, trial balance and other reports required throughout the year such as closing of the financial year end. You will handle various bank reconciliations, cash flow and budgeting and will also be involved with payroll year end.

This role is an exceptional opportunity for any senior accounts assistant looking for a step up or an accounts manager looking for a new challenge. This is a very busy office and you will thrive from the pace and accuracy required with the role. In terms of specific experience required, you will need to be an experienced Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll user. In addition, excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook will be necessary.

Whilst you may be very knowledgeable already, this company naturally wants to ensure you are always challenged so will suit somebody who is always willing to learn new skills, isn't afraid to ask questions and will share ideas. There is a strong sense of collaboration here and you will be instrumental in ensuring this continues as the business strives forward.

Qualifications Required
5 GCSE's including Maths and English at Grade C or above.
AAT Level 3/4 Certificate

You must also ensure you have suitable travel arrangements in place to get to work.

Salary DOE but generally ranging from £20 - £22k
