*2 x Residential Support Officers operating a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 20 hours per week (5 hours per shift), working hours: 6 - 11:30 (30mins break), salary: £9,563.41
*1 x Residential Support Officer operating a Weekend shift (Saturday & Sunday), 16 hours per weekend (8 hours per shift). Start: 09:00 (1 hour lunch), salary: £8,648.65

The purpose of these roles is to provide a duty of care to apprentices aged 18+ including taking shared responsibility for the pastoral care and safeguarding of individuals; providing advice and guidance as necessary and to undertake various ad-hoc tasks

Major Tasks:
*Act as Point of Contact for apprentices during key evening and weekend shifts, providing appropriate support as required.
*Undertake duty of care and safeguarding routines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of apprentices and colleagues in line with operating procedures.
*Perform the roles of First Aider and Fire Warden in response to emergency situations if required
*Maintain logs of all key activities during shift, ensuring entries are accurate and appropriate.

*Good leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with diverse groups of people
*Passionate about working with people and the provision of excellent customer service.
*A practical and flexible approach to work.
*A supportive attitude towards health and wellbeing, and educational achievement
*Ability to remain calm during difficult situations
*Experience of, and appropriate confidence to deal with demanding and at times difficult individuals or situations in a professional manner
*Ability to treat individuals with respect, tact and sensitivity whilst being aware of the limits required by confidentiality and necessary boundaries
*Experience of working within stressful situations
*Excellent communication and time management skills
*Experience of coaching or counselling of individuals

*Youth Work - Award or similar
*Safeguarding Level 2 qualification (desirable)
*Functional Skills or equivalent Level 2 Communication -written / verbal
*An understanding of learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and wider autistic spectrum (desirable)
