An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently recruiting for Category Executives within food and personal care categories. This is a temporary role to start immediately and expected to run for 12 months. The salary for this position is paying up to £35,000 per annum. The role will be based at Unilever's UK HQ in Leatherhead.

The role will have potential for 1 day per week working from home, work load permitting.

Category Management plays a central role in Unilever creating and delivering strategies and insight for our categories and working with retailers to bring these ideas to life and shelf.

Main Job Purpose:
The scope and main responsibilities of this role.

The purpose of this role is to collate and analyse data and turn this data into insights for Unilever and our retailers. The Category and Merchandising Executive would then deliver this insight to the retailer and use it to make range and merchandising recommendations, promotional suggestions and strategy ideas to drive growth for the total category.

Key Responsibilities With subject Areas:
1.Build great relationships with Buyers and Merchandisers
2.Build strong relationships with buyers, merchandising and category planners across retailers
3.Take the category strategies to customer utilising it develop tailored joint category plans, making the strategy live and breathe on a daily basis.
4.Be the first port of call for buyers, CAM's and brand managers on Category performance, opportunities and risks.

Win at Range reviews
1.Provide category range, space and distribution advice for retailers at range review alongside merchandising recommendations.
2.Build planograms supporting the Range and Merchandising changes.
3.Monitor the implementation and success of the review on in store.

Deliver continuous insight through performance monitoring
1.Complete regular performance updates both internally and externally, extracting insights from these sources and using them to continually bring opportunities for growth to the Customer and Unilever.
2.Provide analytical support for the Category Manager to develop the trade category plan with retailers.
3.Evaluate promotional and competitor activity in the market and share learnings with the wider team.

Be the voice of the Shopper & Customer internally with Sales and Marketing
1.Bring the shopper and customer view to the table to the brand team aiding in the delivery of innovation launches, promotional plans and JBP building.

Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally:
1.Data analysis and insight generation
2.Relationship building
3.FMCG market knowledge
4.Ideally Range and Merchandising experience
5.Category management experience, including experience of using data insight tools, e.g. Nielsen, Kantar, etc.
6.Have good analytical skills and be organised (very important for the role)
7.Need to be independent and have a flexible attitude
