We are currently recruiting a Merchandiser to start an ongoing assignment with one of our clients based in the centre of Sunderland, this position is due to commence on Friday 23rd September.

As we are working within a Quality retailer and there will be some level of customer interaction, a smart, well-groomed appearance is expected. The dress code somewhat discretionary, we would recommend that Merchandisers simply wear Black items of clothing, hair and hands should be clean and Training shoes are not permitted. This is a great opportunity to work on the first phase of a potentially significant roll out programme.

The job requirements:

* Unpacking the merchandise * Checking the delivery note * Clarifying if there's any under shipment or additional stock within the consignment * Signing the proof of delivery documents together with the staff there * Emailing or scanning the delivery information back to HQ * Keep the space clean at all times* Packing returns and sending them back to company as instructed in induction * Inventory checks from time to time * In addition stock taking once per quarter which will require a full shift of 4 hours is likely to be worked - this will be communicated with reasonable notice * Product exchanges * Check that all packaging levels (boxes, etc) are maintained/order Special requests using the appropriate forms

Working hours per week:

You will work a minimum of 1 shift per week, Each shift can be up to a maximum of 4 hours on occasions but you will be advised on these occasions in advance directly - you will be paid for four hours minimum but you must be flexible from time to time to adapt to the needs of the business.December & certain peak periods there shall be 2 Deliveries confirmed.

Delivery schedule and organising your visits: You will be notified by text/email by as soon as the delivery arrives at the stores you shall do your visit in order to get the merchandise out. This usually takes place the same day every week as the parcel is sent out the same day every week (at present it is Mondays & Wednesdays). Ideally, as soon as the parcel arrives, the service has to be visit needs to be conducted within 24 hours or as close to this as possible so same day or the next but no longer than 48 hours.

Previous Retail or Customer Service skills would a distinct advantage, experience in Jewellery Sales is not a necessity, as full product induction and training will be given.
