My NHS client based in Newcastle are looking to recruit a Systm One Medical Receptionist required to work ad hoc shifts to cover a busy GP Practice based in Newcastle - hours full time and between 7.45am - 8.30pm

Duties will include

*Provide an effective, efficient and friendly reception service to patients and visitors in accordance with Practice protocols.
*Make appointments and deal with all general enquiries both in person and on the telephone.
*Book, amend and cancel appointments on the day and for future dates.
*Book and process requests from home visits as appropriate.
*Take and process messages, requests and tasks to and from patients by telephone and in person.
*Using your own judgement, ensure that patients requesting urgent appointments, advice or home visits are correctly processed and the doctor on duty informed as necessary.
*Ensure that new patients are registered onto the computer system promptly and accurately and advised of all services available to them.
*Keep reception tidy, maintaining a clear desk policy and complying to patient confidentiality and data protection.
*Advise patients of relevant charges for private (non GMS) services, accept payments and issue receipts for the same.
*Give out test results on Patients request

Ideal candidates must have system experience, and experience working in NHS GP Practice.
Candidates must undergo enhanced dbs which costs will be met by Manpower
